Using fruit sourced from their Gimblett, Bridge Pa and spectacular Te Awanga vineyards right on the Hawke’s Bay coastline, using entirely hand picked fruit, aged 18 months in French oak. In their own words the Elephant crew call this “luscious and elegant, a true Elephant Hill Syrah.“.

Drink it now or chuck it in your cellar and let it develop over the next ten years. If you’re in the Bay swing by this place (not long ago voted NZ’s top winery restaurant in Cuisine magazine) and grab a feed paired with these world class wines. They highly recommend a glass of this Syrah with Hereford fillet, artichoke, duck liver palate and truffle porcini crumb. Divine!

1859 Shiraz 2012 Created in a contemporary style this Barossa Shiraz has notes of dark berries. The palate is rich with an excellent balance of fruit flavours, subtle tannins and a soft, silky finish.
